Neil Armstrong, August 5th 1930 – August 25th 2012

I have already mentioned that the 1969 moon landing is possibly my earliest memory. My Dad and I watched the events unfold on a black and white television while the rest of the household went about their daily routine.

It was a day of wonder for this particular 4 year old. Even at that tender age I think I knew that something special was happening. I knew nothing about these three adventurers yet they would forever change the way in which I would look at the moon, our planet and the universe that we inhabit.

Thanks to three intrepid explorers; Neil Armstron, Edwin ‘Buzz’ Aldrin and Michael Collins.
