Amanda K Hawkins grew up in Newburyport, Massachusetts but now lives in Portland, Maine. She draws inspiration and energy from her environment to intuitively create these wonderfully vibrant landscapes.
“I have to paint places that I have an emotional connection to. A lot of times when I’m painting, it takes me a while to find the landscape, but then I’ll recognise the colours.”
